Sequence online, free, no board required
Play a card, place a chip on the matching space, and race to two runs of five in a row. Jacks are still wild, the corners are still free, and nobody has to find where the chips went.

What you get
Sequence, in full
The whole board, legibly
A hundred spaces on a phone screen, laid out so you can actually read the cards. Tap a card in hand and every space it can go lights up.
Jacks work like they should
Two-eyed jacks place a chip anywhere; one-eyed jacks take an opponent's off the board. The engine knows which is which, so nobody has to squint at the artwork.
A bot when you are one short
Add up to two AI opponents. Enough to get a real game going when it is just you and one other person, or just you.
No illegal moves, no arguments
Dead cards are flagged and swappable, completed runs are locked, and the win is detected the moment it happens. The rules are enforced, not remembered.
Nothing to set up or lose
No board to unfold, no chips to count out, no deck to find. Start a room and the first hand is dealt.
A code, not an account
Read out five letters and your opponent is in from any browser. No app, no sign-up, no email address.
Actual screenshots
This is the real thing, not a mock-up

Pick a card and the legal spaces light up. No hunting the grid.
How it works
How to play Sequence online
Start a room
Tap Play Sequence. The room opens with the game selected and a five-letter code to share.
Seat two or three players
Opponents join from a browser with the code, or add up to two bots to fill in.
Play a card, place a chip
On your turn, play one card from your hand and put a chip on either board space showing that card. Then draw back up.
Use the jacks
Two-eyed jacks let you place a chip on any open space. One-eyed jacks remove an opponent's chip — but never one that is part of a completed run.
Get two runs of five
Five chips in a row, in any direction, is a sequence. The four corners are free spaces that count towards one. Two sequences wins the game.
Questions
Frequently asked
How do you play Sequence?
On your turn you play one card from your hand and place a chip on a board space showing that card, then draw a replacement. Five chips in a row — in any direction — is a sequence, and the four corners are free spaces anyone can count. Two sequences wins. Jacks are wild: two-eyed jacks place a chip anywhere open, one-eyed jacks remove an opponent's chip.
How many cards do you get?
It depends on how many are playing: seven cards each for two players, six for three or four, five for six, four for eight or nine, and three for ten or twelve. decks.app deals the right number automatically.
How many people can play?
Our version seats two or three. If you are on your own or in a pair, add up to two bots and you still get a proper game.
What is a dead card?
A card where both of its board spaces are already covered, so it can never be played. Turn it in and draw a replacement — decks.app flags them for you rather than making you spot them.
Can a completed sequence be broken?
No. Once five in a row is complete it is locked, and a one-eyed jack cannot take a chip out of it. That is why blocking a run before it finishes matters more than reacting after.
Is it free?
Yes — no payment, no account, no download. Start a room and share the code.
Is this the official Sequence game?
No. This is our own build of a card-and-grid five-in-a-row game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or licensed by the publisher of Sequence.
